You don't need to!
Upload a photo of your wall, a screenshot from a website, or any image with a color you love.
The system extracts the most dominant color and applies it directly to your artwork.
A few things that help when shooting photos.
- Natural light works best
- 90 degrees straight on to the wall
- Keep plants, furniture, all the faff out of the shot
After you pick a color, we generate five versions of your artwork to preview.
- Your exact color (best matched if it was an uploaded image)
- Two shades lighter
- Two shades darker
Why?
Fine tuning without starting the whole thing over again.
Plus a shade or two off your exact wall color can honestly look better. Worth a swipe through.
Always going to be a very slight difference in the screen to print color variation.
No screen can replicate 100% how the ink sits on the paper.
But we've found from 100s of images it's a really close match.
If your print does arrive off color, free reprint no questions asked!
Haha. Nope! But super valid question.
We've made the artwork 80% greyscale in most cases, for 2 reasons mainly.
- Dampen the chaos
Urban art is chaotic, bold and loud. We love it, but it also needs to work as wall art. Muting some of the dominance really pushes focus onto your color only.
- Strong contrast
Setting your color against strong contrast really separates the artwork from the wall.
Another reason why dark/light shade variation previews are offered in the color match.
Same process used by fine art galleries and museums. Minimum 300gsm archival Giclée print. Straight up heirloom quality
Seven sizes overall, but what's available depends on the piece.
All prints are cut to fit in easy to find frame sizes (if you don't own already).
- 50 x 40cm
- 50 x 50cm
- 18 x 24"
- 70 x 50cm
- A1
- 36 x 24"
- A0
Nope. And that's deliberate.
Frame choice is pretty personal, and we thought a single frame style would more than likely be wrong for most customers.
Plus the logistics of shipping frames with artwork, given our setup, is a nightmare.
All print sizes fit standard frames so finding your perfect frame should be super easy!
Yeah, it will. Probably better than you think.
Street art is LOUD by nature, that's one of the reasons we love it so much.
But at Undecided we deliberately mute most of it. For two reasons.
- Dampen the chaos
Urban art needs to work as wall art, not fight everything else in the room. Pulling back the color puts all the focus onto your chosen shade only.
- Strong contrast
Your color hits harder against greyscale than it ever would in a full color image. That's what makes it sit against your wall rather than compete with it.
Still not sure?
Send yourself the large preview and hold it up. You'll see.
Quality over quantity, genuinely.
Each piece needs a bespoke build to make the customization work properly. We'd rather get it right than rush.
New work gets added when it's ready. And we've opened up collaborations so artists can bring their own pieces into the collection. More coming.
You'll get a confirmation straight away with a link to your large preview in case you want to do one last check at home.
A designer reviews your chosen color and artwork and prepares the final file at full resolution for print.
That goes to the printer for printing and packaging.
Tracking lands in your inbox. Usually within 3 to 4 days of ordering.
Production takes 3 to 4 business days. This isn't mass produced, your order is reviewed and made for you specifically (by an actual human, who'd have thought).
Shipping time on top of that depends on where you are. You'll get tracking once it's on its way.
Depends which type.
Statics (non customisables) can be returned if you change your mind. Just reach out and we'll get the process started.
Customs are a different situation. Your piece was made in your exact color so we can't resell it, which means change of mind returns aren't available.
That said, if your custom arrives with a production defect or looks materially different from your approved preview, we'll reprint or refund it. No questions asked.
Honest answer. Most of the current collection is unsigned work photographed from public walls. The artists weren't identifiable from the original pieces, so no individual attribution was possible.
Collaborations are now open. We needed to build something worth being part of first, and that's where we are. Artists who come on board get a cut of every sale.
